E36 M3 will not start
Hello, I'm new to these forums and its good to become a member of such a great site. I've been reading on this site for awhile and the people here seem pretty legit...

Anywho, I have 1995 M3 that will not start. The first instance of this was when the car started to jump intermittently and the revs would get lower then higher and then it just shut off while on the road. I then sat in a parking lot trying to start it for 20 minutes and it finally started. I was then able to return it home. The next day, thinking it was just bad gas or something, I went to start it and got a mile up the road, the rpms jumped up then down, then up again, and it shut off. I was not able to start it from then on. I was thinking it was the fuel pump, but I can hear the pump whirr under the back seat when I turn the key. When I turn the key, all the car does is turn over the starter over and over again but does not fire at all.

I then tried to read the codes from it using the CEL, but I could not get a check engine light! I took the cluster out to see if the bulb was burned out, but it wasnt. I don't really know where to start, so please help me.

I just replaced the crank position sensor and the car will still not start up...
